What the Bible got wrong about AI

A Renaissance fresco in the style of Michelangelo’s Last Judgment: crowds of human souls rising and gathered, looking upward toward the seat of judgment at the center. Where the divine judge should sit, there is instead a cold, glowing blank rectangle of screen-light wired with faint circuitry, woven into the golden rays of heaven. The figures wait for a judgment that is not coming.

Michelangelo painted a Last Judgment where every soul is finally answered for. We built the first creation that arrives with no maker, no soul, no ending, and no one on the throne.
